Kerry McCarthy Labour MP for Bristol East
On Monday, I spoke in a Parliamentary debate – held after a petition on revoking Article 50 because of the law-breaking committed by the Leave campaign was signed by over 100,000 people, including 555 in the Bristol East constituency. Whilst I totally condemn this criminality, I do not believe we should carry on fighting or attempt to re-run the 2016 referendum. Instead, Parliament needs to be able to properly scrutinise any deal the Government puts forward in the coming months and should leave all options on the table for dealing with a scenario when either the deal is not acceptable to Parliament, or no deal with the EU is reached
