It was great to have a brief escape from politics and to join St Anne’s Infants on one of its Forest School sessions last week. Forest Schools aim to give pupils an understanding of, and a connection to, the natural world; something which is incredibly important, but often overlooked.

I saw students who had been quiet and subdued in the classroom completely transform in their mood and become fully engaged and chatty once we had entered the woods. A huge thanks to the teachers at St Anne’s for letting me come along!
