The UK deserves an Agriculture Bill that upholds the highest environmental, animal welfare and food standards. That’s the key message from my article for The House magazine this week following the Government’s announcement that it would reintroduce the Bill in this parliamentary session. I’ve also called on the Government to support a transition to sustainable farming by 2030 and raised the alarm about the wholly unsatisfactory post-Brexit pesticides regime.
