Transport Questions

In Transport Questions today, I highlighted the progress being made in Bristol to increase bus use. Under the new Bristol Bus Deal the Council will be investing in bus priority measures and infrastructure so buses don’t get caught in traffic, and in return the bus operators have pledged to put on extra peak time commuter services. Bristol remains, however, the only one of the Core Cities without a mass-transit system, and I asked the Minister what she could do to support this ambition. It’s a shame the Minister did not address mass-transit in her reply, but did say that the current bus service in Bristol is fantastic – I am not sure many Bristolians would agree!
