My nephews Luke and Oliver are diehard West Ham supporters, so although I wouldn’t claim to be a fan, I’m usually rooting for the team to do well.

It was a pleasure to meet David Moyes, at a Show Racism the Red Card event in parliament yesterday, and to chat to him about what the club is doing to challenge racism, not just at football grounds, but in the community too.

Former West Ham player Leroy Rosenior gave a very passionate speech, and the event was also attended by former England player Paul Parker, as well as MPs from four political parties.
