Yesterday I spoke in the Petitions Committee debate about the music industry and Brexit. Artists have lost the right to tour Europe visa-free and UK concert trucks are facing severe restrictions that could kill their businesses. The Government needs to act and secure a viable future for the sector before the summer.
The music industry is worth billions to the UK economy, but this isn’t just about the money. Music enriches all of our lives and the cultural value of the industry is immeasurable.
And, of course, I had to give Joy Division/New Order a mention!
