Yesterday I asked the Prime Minister about businesses in the events supply chain that have consistently been excluded from support.

The Government has failed to acknowledge silent contributor companies, offering support exclusively to the public-facing parts of the events industry. Weddings need photographers, festivals need riggers and concerts need sound engineers. The Prime Minister must understand that without the entire supply chain, the whole sector falls apart.

He suggested that the Chancellor would be providing further support in the Budget announcement next week. I’ll be holding him to his word; it’s time that events companies in Bristol East receive the acknowledgement and support they deserve.
