Today at transport questions I pressed the Minister on the need to fix our roads, rather than putting billions into road expansion.

The Government has slashed the road maintenance budget by £375 million, and there’s an £11 billion backlog in pothole repairs.

With so many UK roads in an appalling state and with the climate emergency worsening, the Government needs to recognise we need to fix what we have, not build more.
