On Friday I paid a visit to the Kingfisher School in St Anne’s and to Venturers Academy, a specialist school for children with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Conditions, on the same site.

It was good to see the measures they have in place for children with differing communication needs and the support they’re able to provide through music, play and dance therapy. We discussed the SEND Green Paper and consultation, and issues arising from a lack of Government funding. As always, I’ll be taking up these issues with the Government.
