It seems as if the Defence Secretary is ready to mount a leadership challenge! I’ve always found him reasonable but during Defence Questions today his belligerence and reluctance to answer straightforward questions was reminiscent of the Prime Minister.

I’d asked what conversations the Government has had within NATO regarding multilateral nuclear disarmament which is, after all, meant to be UK policy. His answer was a simple one…
