Kerry’s regular Friday surgery was held at Brislington police station this week.On Saturday she took part in a walkabout street surgery on crime and antisocial behaviour with Brislington East councillor Simon Crew in ‘the village’. They were told about the problems being caused by local youths, ranging from antisocial behaviour to vandalism, break-ins and other criminal acts. Kerry and Simon have promised to follow this up with the police, the council and other agencies. Other issues discussed included litter, traffic problems on the A4 and the long-awaited traffic management scheme by the new Lidl store.Kerry then spent an hour at ‘Get Knitted’, a new shop on Brislington Hill, which is the biggest knitting shop in the UK and also has a successful mail order/ internet business. She discussed a range of local issues with the proprietor, including what could be done to revitalise the Brislington village shopping area and his plans to run knitting classes in after-school clubs.
