Kerry formally opened a new exhibition at Bristol Museum tonight. Entitled ‘La Bouche du Roi’, the exhibition features a piece of installation art by Romuald Hazoume and an accompanying film, which is touring Britain as part of Abolition 200. Romuald, who hails from the African Republic of Benin, created the work from 304 black petrol cans in the shape of a ship, to highlight the transatlantic slave trade and the current black market in petrol trading in Benin.
