I was absolutely appalled at the footage of minks eating each other alive in a Lithuanian fur farm, which was captured by the group Open Cagesfollowing an undercover investigation.

Following a recent inquiry on fur by the EFRA Select Committee, I am continuing to call for a ban on all fur imports, and in the meantime a much more stringent labelling system. Instances like this just emphasise the importance of such a ban and how there really is no such thing as ‘ethical fur’.
