The Tories’ hard Brexit plans threaten the very make-up of the United Kingdom. In the Commons this morning I asked the Government’s Northern Ireland ministers to back staying in the Single Market and the Customs Union as the best way of avoiding a hard border in Northern Ireland and the break-up of the UK.
