I’ve just met with governors of primary schools in East Bristol to talk about the funding pressures that they face as a part of the National Governors Association Week of Action. Schools have had significant cuts in the funding they get per pupil, at a time whilst costs are rising and more children than ever are being identified as needing additional support.

I will be at Monday’s debate on school funding where I will make the case for properly resourcing schools so that they can give pupils the education they deserve.
