Yesterday I co-sponsored a Bill by my Labour colleague Ruth George to prohibit the use of sky lanterns. I support Ruth’s efforts because they have caused major fires, pose a danger to wildlife and farm animals, and cause litter across our city and countryside. Here in Bristol, sky lanterns are banned from being launched in council-owned parks. You can read more about the Bill at this link.
