Fighting youth crime

In yesterday’s Home Office Questions, I praised the great work that Avon and Somerset Police is doing to prevent young people from getting involved in criminal activity through early intervention and diversion, and challenged the Home Secretary over his previous remarks about Stapleton Road, which went down very badly in East Bristol. It is good to see him acknowledge that the area has changed since he lived there. Featuring a funny intervention from the Speaker at the end!
