Earlier this week I joined constituents who’d made the journey to London for#TheTimeIsNow, the biggest climate and environmental lobby in Westminster’s history. It was great to see so many of you there and to discuss the rapid, ambitious action that is needed to tackle the climate and ecological crisis we are facing. On the morning of the lobby itself, I wrote an article for The Times with my Environmental Audit Committee colleague John McNally, in which we were very clear – the Government must now bring forward the legally binding targets and commitments that our constituents and the planet demand. There simply isn’t time to waste.
