I am absolutely delighted at the news from the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, that a deal has been reached with the drugs company, Vertex, to provide Orkambi and Symkevi on the NHS.

It’s brilliant news for cystic fibrosis patients and their families, and comes after a 4 year-long campaign, both in and out of Parliament. The treatment should be available to all who need it within 30 days.
