There’s a by-election in Brislington East this Thursday – don’t forget to vote for local resident, Tim Rippington, the Labour candidate. Tim is the only candidate who lives in Brislington; he is rooted in the local community and very much involved in local issues.

I worked with Tim on the successful campaign to keep the Wick Road library open, and we’re discussing ideas on developing more community spaces in the Brislington area.

Tim is already working to improve public transport in Brislington East. When First Bus threatened to cut the 36 and 96 bus services, Tim petitioned to save these buses, and presented his petition to Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees, who then agreed to pledge Council funding to keep the services.

If he’s elected, Tim will continue to be a community champion. Please do vote for him on Thursday!
