In Parliament today I asked Michael Gove if he would apologise for breaking his previous commitment to base the Office for Environment Protection in Bristol, which has cost our city 120 good green jobs.

Not only did he refuse to apologise, but – shockingly – he confirmed that new locations for civil service jobs are being selected in order to help Tory mayors get re-elected.

Cronyism and dishonesty are constant themes of this Government. We need to show them Bristol won’t stand for this at the local elections on May 6th.
