I’m pleased to have had my birthday present from the NHS over the weekend – my first Covid jab!

It’s brilliant that over 30 million Brits have now had their first dose, including over 95% of people aged 60+. If you’re in the Bristol area and in any of top 9 priority groups (see here – https://bnssgccg.nhs.uk/…/coronavirus-covid-19…/) you should have been contacted about your jab by now. If you haven’t heard anything yet, you can use the NHS online booking system, contact your GP or call 119 free between 7am and 11pm.

The vaccines have been shown to be safe and effective in reducing illness and transmission, and they’re our best hope of getting out of lockdown, so I would encourage everyone to get their vaccine as soon as it’s their turn.
