Although I’ve been a recreational cyclist for years, it was only last year that I really took to using my bike as a form of transport, as did many people at the start of the pandemic. This coincided with me being appointed shadow Minister for Green Transport. I’ve now realised what a difference a well-maintained bike can make to the daily commute – and also experienced the pain of being stranded with a puncture that I didn’t know how to fix!

I’d really recommend this LifeCycle bike maintenance course to anyone who cycles regularly and wants to be able to check their gears and brakes, fix punctures, and generally ensure that their bike is roadworthy.
