I’m happy to support Chris Bryant’s Acquired Brain Injury Bill, which has its second reading in the Commons tomorrow.

Acquired Brain Injury affects a staggering 1.3 million people in the UK each year of all ages and walks of life – from children who have suffered serious accidents, to those injured in the workplace, to domestic violence survivors, to severely-concussed rugby players and footballers.

Chris has called for a national cross-departmental strategy for ABI, to prevent people with acquired brain injuries from struggling at school, at work and with day-to-day life without the right support. I was pleased to hear the Prime Minister commit at last week’s PMQs to cross-party working on such a strategy, so well done Chris!
